We are super-excited to share that Dabba is now officially launched in Islampur, Maharashtra. Until now, we had been operational in Bangalore and some areas of Pune. To document this growth and special moments of Dabba’s deployment in yet another city, team Dabba was camping in Islampur last week.
Why Dabba in Islampur?
Expanding to Islampur is an important and strategic step in expanding the Dabba network. Here’s why:
- Islampur has a significant population of both private houses and business/educational establishments that are yet to get connected to uninterrupted wireless broadband services.
- Our LCO partner Swami WiFi already has a reputation of being one of the first and the best ISP (Internet Service Provider) in Islampur. For Dabba, it means we benefit from both, the goodwill and reliable partners to get things moving fast and in the right way.

Adding More LCO Partners
Local Cable Operators (LCOs) play a very important role in the Dabba ecosystem. Once a hotspot is purchased, they make sure these are strategically deployed. LCOs are also responsible for the upkeep of the Hotspots. LCO partners are rewarded for their contributions to the network.
Following the mainnet launch, Hotspot owners will be able to choose their LCOs for deploying their Hotspots through the Dabba Explorer.
Onboarding more LCOs is crucial to Dabba’s expansion. Recently, our co-founder Shubhendu Sharma also had a meeting with over 50 LCOs who are eager to join the Dabba Network.
We will soon be sharing more details about onboarding more LCO’s on the Dabba Network. You can also check details of our LCO partners by visiting the Dabba Network Explorer dashboard.
